What is All Access?

EA All Access serves as all immersive experience into the Elite Athletes program, giving coaches or trainers the opportunity to observe all elements of EA.

This includes workout sessions with all of our coaches. Whether it’s skill development sessions, style-of-play practices or athletic development training, as an All Access Coach you are free to visit what is on our schedule at the Elite Academy, EA Camps or small-group workouts.

All Access members are able to tailor their schedule to their own interest, choosing sessions to attend based on what they would like to get out of their time with us.

EA currently offers a variety of All-Access packages: from multiple hours to a week – or a whole month. Some coaches literally decide to spend their summer with us!

All Access can be arranged at anytime during the in-season or off-season.

Elite Athletes EA Introduction

Based in Merksem, Antwerp the EA Facility serves as the home of Elite Athletes. Founded by Olivier Goetgeluck and Joerik Michiels in 2011, EA is comprised of three main elements:

  • Elite Academy: our youth academy for U12 to U21 players
  • EA Camps & Education: domestic & international camps, work-outs and coaching clinics
  • EA Facility: the base for our Academy’s skill and athletic training where our 15+ kids get 24/7 Access
  • EA Online: our online learning platform with a variety of resources made for coaches wishing to learn more about our development method

Elite Athletes have a following of players & coaches all over the world.

Elite Academy Introduction

Based in Antwerp, the Elite Academy is an all-encompassing holistic and educational basketball program.

With 9 men’s teams (U12, U13, U14, U15, U16, U17, U18, U21Dev & U21), EA players are immersed in an inspirational and supportive environment affording them the ability to discover their full potential.

Elite Academy is a process which athletes sign-up and commit to; a process which just like its players, is in constant evolution itself.

The goal of the academy is to build resilient, creative and adaptive individuals.

We aim to provide our kids the experiences and toolbox to nourish further opportunities in and outside of basketball.

Getting in from Brussels Airport

A taxi takes 36 minutes and costs around €120, so we recommend taking the direct train which takes 31 minutes into Antwerp central and costs €11.80 one-way. The direct Airport Express bus is another viable option, costing €10 one-way and taking 45 minutes. EA can arrange airport transfers to any location in central Antwerp, costing €50 for one-way or €75 for the both the pick-up and return journey. Please contact Tonio Caruso to arrange this.

coaches’ all access experiences

“Observation from my Belgium visit: EA play the ‘long game’ and focus on long term athlete development through the journey rather than results driven. They focus on skill development through “Games Approach” with strong emphasis on developing creative skill – big focus on footwork, finishing skills and shooting. There are strong links with the functional movement to the skill development.”
– Peter Lonergan, Australia (full review)

“On one month All Access: The first thing I’ve noticed on the day I arrived at the facility, was a curious feeling of something different: different approaches and wider, integrated vision of basketball, human body development and development as human-beings. Olivier’s warm-ups and coordinative drills…those are things you just can’t watch and learn. Joerik has precision and ability to show the most difficult moves breaking them up into effective progressions. Enjoy!”
– Francesco Briguglio, Italy

“We spent 9 days with EA, spending time learning from both academy sessions and then having responsibility leading stations during the Sleepover Camp. It was an amazing experience; we met so many great coaches and players from all the world. We were able to talk 24/7 about basketball and see how this amazing project runs. The EA desire to “Trust The Process” is something we will always remember.”
– Aleix & David, Spain FC Barcelona

“Being able to join EA for a week in Belgium was a great experience. Not only did we get to experience the on-court elements of what it takes to build a program parallel to ours in Europe, we met great people who were a part of their staff and felt very welcome and included in our time there. We went with the intention of doing some non-traditional professional development and came out with much more than just professional development.”
– Sunny Sooch, Canada (GOOD Hoops Academy)
